Discover Golf is the perfect way to start the game of golf or to have a complete refresh of the basics of the game of golf, if you are a golfer returning to the game.
Using a unique combination of group coaching sessions and online learning, Ian is able to guide you throughout the entire process of learning (or re-learning) how to play golf.
The Discover Golf course begins with a couple of hours of online learning that introduces (or re-introduces) you to the game of golf and to some important ideas that you will need to speed up the learning process for you.
The 5 x 90 minute group coaching sessions that follow, cover the basics of the game all the way from putting through to driving and of course, all the important bits in-between like how to hit the golf ball in the air (which you will easily be doing by the end of the third session) – through to applying all that you have learnt be getting out on the course to play a hole or two in the last group session.
(Equipment can be provided while attending the group coaching sessions, if required.)
It doesn’t end there though, as once you have completed the group coaching sessions, you will then receive a further 2 months of online learning and activities to help guide you along the path to becoming a competent golfer.
Yes, that’s right – a further 2 months of online learning and guidance from Ian – to assist you as you start to really play the game of golf.
This really is the most comprehensive start to the game of golf, I have ever offered.
Discover Golf is a comprehensive (the whole course is delivered over a three and a half month period) and perfect way to start the game of golf or for you to get a complete refresh of the basics if you are a golfer returning to the game.
Here’s a selection of comments from some of the participants of the last course (it was actually called New To Golf Sessions but one of the golfers came up with the great name of Discover Golf during it):
I was nervous about putting myself in the environment of the Golf Course, thinking I was not good enough. Ian made me feel very welcome and that it was normal to feel the way I did and also changed my thinking, it is ok to learn the game of Golf on the course and like everything in life we all learn at different speeds and it is about fun too. I am feeling a lot more confident out on the course now.
Would I enjoy playing (I started out doing it for my husband, not myself) After the first session it became something for me to enjoy, and at my own pace and level, no pressure.
I didn’t think that I would be able to learn enough about the game in such a short time as I’d never played much sport over the years but Ian’s teaching is so easy to understand and implement, that I was just as good as the other people in the group. I’m just kicking myself that I didn’t do this years ago.
Guess I was afraid of being way worse than the other people in the course. We we’re all beginners so did not feel self-conscious.
I enjoyed the practical sessions the most but appreciate that Ian followed each session up with an email explaining what we had gone over and I have saved them to read over when I feel I need to refresh what I learnt. I have also downloaded the books provided by Ian which I have found well written and easy to understand.
Being able to achieve some good shots each week, even though it was my first session at that particular skill. All credit to your teaching skills thanks!
Theory and psychology instructions along with the physical. It all made sense.
I found the online coaching to be really good, as it helped me to really make sense of what we’d learnt on the golf course.
Ian has helped me to discover the game of golf in a way that I could never have imagined, thanks Ian.
You create a relaxed learning environment, no pressure. Perfect introduction to golf for me, making it enjoyable. When I put your coaching into practice I’m stoked that I can hit a good ball, consistently enough 🙂
You won’t regret it.
I found Ian easy to understand and follow. I am thrilled I took the step to get lessons, Ian has given me the confidence to go out on the course, to try using different clubs, my golf has improved and if I could not make a session it was no trouble for Ian to provide the lesson at a time to suit. I would encourage anyone thinking of having lessons to give them a go with Ian. I also believe the lessons were excellent value.
