Here you can find out way more about Coaching Plus if you’d like to.
Step 1. History
Together we’ll make sure that I fully understand the history of your golf game, evaluate your current challenges, talk through your hopes for your golf in the future and do a full golf equipment assessment – including the golf ball you use (yes, it’s that in-depth!) and my extremely useful assessment tool that will give you your Consistent Golf Rating (you can see a bit about that in the sample improvement plan below).
Step 2. Baseline
Video will be taken of you (or you can take it, if you aren’t able to see me in person) hitting a shot or two in all the main areas of the game – putts, chips, pitches, sand shots, full shots, alignment, pre-shot routine, driving, fairway woods (and whatever else I feel I need to see after Step 1). If it’s possible, some video of you playing a hole or two on the golf course will be useful as well.
You can see a sample of the sort of videoing I’m talking about below.
Step 3. Create your plan
I’ll take everything from Step 1 and 2 to produce your personalized ongoing, prioritised improvement plan and we’ll discuss your next steps which will include an estimate of how many months it will take to get the improvement that you are after.
Step 4. We’ll work together
We’ll work together each month to get your golf game to the level you want to be at using regular coaching sessions, video analysis, chatting about your game in general, sharing photos, files, scorecards, useful drills or practices – all of which make up your ongoing learning record and reference library.
*Please note, that if you have had coaching from me previously – Steps 1, 2 and 3 may not be needed – we can discuss that when you Get Started Today.
Here’s some examples of Coaching Plus being used in real coaching situations:
This photo is taken from the video above, it shows the ability I have using the Coaching App to add points of interest such as the direction this golfer is aiming their feet plus the fact that their knees are aiming even further left of the target – I was able to send that straight to the golfer as something to be aware of when setting up for a pitch shot.
Another example of setting up, is this whiteboard image that I drew for a left handed golfer who was having problems setting up to their shots. Sharing it through the Coaching app the golfer then recreated that with some tape on the practice mat they have at their home.
Doing that has allowed them to work on their alignment between games, knowing that they are doing the right thing!
Here’s the same golfer sharing a photo of their scorecard through the Coaching app, so that I can see how they are going between coaching sessions and look for trends or areas of concern to work on.
This image shows the power of the Coaching Plus service in terms of being able to remember exactly what to work on for the golfers who use it – as soon as I took this image it went straight to this golfers library in the Coaching app, so she can refer to it at anytime. This is of course one of my fundamentals of putting, the Three Tees idea, which you can read about here if you’d like to.
Here’s something really useful that I was able to pick up quickly thanks to one of the features available with Coaching Plus – the fortnightly check in. This golfer was telling me how during their fortnightly check in that their putts had been mainly missing to the left over the last couple of games – I got them to send me some video (using the Coaching app) and using the tools I have at my disposal, this image is the putter as they first began to set up for a putt of about 15 feet.
Unknowingly to the golfer, they were moving their putter around during their setup process as this shot shows, resulting in the putter being in this position just prior to them starting to putt.
Any surprise that they were missing their putts left?
Now, here’s the important bit!
If this golfer wasn’t using my Coaching Plus service and simply turned up for coaching when things are going wrong (like a lot of golfers do), something as simple as moving the putter around while setting up could have caused them to play many bad rounds and start really questioning their putting, as well as their entire golf game.
Does that sort of thing apply to you?
As you have probably figured out from those few examples above, Coaching Plus is a unique combination of technology and coaching experiences that enable you to get the guidance you need to your golf game to the level you want to be at, anytime and anywhere, with direct access to your my coaching services.
In effect, I will be guiding your improvement using whatever tools and coaching methods I think is most necessary at the time using experience and my vast collection of knowledge about the game of golf to get you to where you would like to be with your golf game.
It’s up to you now – are you ready to transform your golf game?
